Photosynthesis 2015The exhibition at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh wants to shed new light on plants, using a broad array of (plant-related) perceptions. Included are fifteen series of photographic perceptions, two installations and a film program.Shedding new light on plantsThe world of plants as we have never seen beforeArtists belonging to the Dutch art collective Tropism create new depictions of plants, using unusual, often scientific, visualization techniques that blur the lines between art and science. The use of x-ray, pinhole, electron microscope and infrared photography subverts usual assumptions and hints at the growing prominence of technology in the natural world.
